The stairs are quite tall and steep, for such a little cat, so sometimes he stops part-way down for a rest.
Sometimes he sits like this for some time.
He notices the dust and thinks that it would be a more comfortable spot for sitting if the stairs were hoovered more frequently.

Cute. And maybe he doesn't give a hoot about the hoovering - after all, it's a pretty unpleasant sound and such a small kitty would have to scamper off very quickly, no?
have a good day, letty.
Cute story about your cat.
I enjoyed your photos in Greenwich too.
Ha! That doesn't look very restful, does it??
very cute. he looks strangely confortable contorted into that position
Lovely ! Have a nice semi-blog break !!!

That is one cute black cat. shiny coat!
So cute.I had a similar cat when I was young, remind me of her!Fanny was her name, very from Marseille, lol.
:)
I do that coming down the stairs sometimes these days. :) We all need a break from time to time.
From my experience with two mogs formerly, they are the ones beautifully creating all that dust - Blackus Cattuses particularly!
He is such a little treasure!
What a dramatic-looking cat!!!
He looks more like he is hunting than resting.
Hey, I do that!
Logan looks like he's thinking about stalking a dust bunny! Enjoy your blogging break.
Who's the pretty kitty? Who's the pretty kitty?
His fur is so black, shiny and sleek. He just looks like he is thinking. Do I want to go down, or did I forget something and have to go back up.
Such a cutie sitting there. I love the dust bunnies, I have a lot of those too. No stairs, so what is my excuse, I am alllergic to the vacuum. I get a asthma attack when those little bunnies get into my lungs. I think hubby has gotten the same allergies.
Thanks for posting, enjoy your break.
Hey Lettuce!
Hoovering the stairs is thankfully not something I have to do any longer (no stairs) but oh I remember.
That's a great shot of a very serious little guy.
Hah! Our Sam does this all the time. He looks like he doesn't have any back legs. It must be a comfortable position, don't you think?
Beautiful cat! I'm a cat lover. When I saw the photo all I could say was Oh!
How sweet. And funny.
The dogs do that sometimes when they climb down from the couch. They are oblivious about how funny they look.
What an adorable and sleek black cat. I doubt a bit of dust bothers a cat ~ probably plotting what sort of mischief he can get into once he's reached the bottom of the stairs.
Hope you are doing well!!
Perhaps he's trying to put hoovering thoughts into your mind... thought transference a la cat!
slinky cat on the stairs
slinky cat everywhere
