this was before last week's snow (hard to believe)
in london, Greenwich Park.
or maybe it was some kind of protest?
I only managed last night to watch last week's episode of Life on Mars - which gets better an better. If you saw it you'll be happy, I'm sure, to see this again - and if you didn't, you probably need to!

Ha! Did they get out of the way, or did the walkers have to go round?
And what is Life on Mars? That is an intriquing taste of it on YouTube . . .
Yes excellent show, I love it, it's the last though sadly... and the last one's meant to be a shocker! did you see the one with the referene to Cherie and Tony?? Anyway go and see the twangers on Rainbow over at my blog...
it was hilarious that episode (yes, so it was, to be sure!) A real shot of pure nostalgia!
I just don't want Life on Mars to ever end!
Of course it makes no sense to bow down to the sun, since the sun is ... UP. Lying face up is the perfect way to pay tribute to Brother Sun.
The vid is amazing. I'm sure you know American TV is never like this - most of it is created for the lowest common denominator. Such a shame! Thanks for sharing this bit.
Haven't watched the vid yet, but I love the photo! It certainly doesn't look like snow is imminent. (Or even possible.) They're just doing what all of us feel like doing when we feel the warm spring sunshine after a cold winter!
You. Have. Green. Grass.
I am green with envy.
tutty - no, they didn't move! i think it was a protest against the boring black suits...
Its a GREAT TV series about a policeman who has an accident in 2007 and wakes up in 1973. Could be in a coma / time-travelling / mad... who knows? So he sees the weekly crime & investigation - and the racism, sexism etc. - through twenty-first centry eyes. Plus lots of 1970's nostalgia. This vid. is just the titles done 1973-style. Camberwick Green was a 70's kids prog.
(apparently there is an American version in the pipeline...)
Funny Tat! i'm trying to figure out if its really them or if they were dubbed.
Me neither RW. Sam Tyler is quite cute, isn't he???
Thats what I thought Reya & STeve, most natural thing in the world. Well, except for lying on the hard path.
Joyce - send me your address and I'll post some to you. :o)
Lettie, I like your response to Joyce!! Hilarious!!!
Make sure it is not of the kind that makes you fly...
lettle!! lettle!! i want to pick you up and hold you up and smile up at you!!
we get shito tv here....what is life on mars
will email soon
x
ps. yes i meant to say lettle as in kettle
Life on Mars seems like a show I would love to see.... but it's not on TV here in Canada, not on the cahnnels I get anyway. And if an American version is in the works, it's boud to be bad, the Yanks just don't have the same sense of humour and always seem to make their characters into a cartoon of the original.
Ha ha Cream, I'm sure I don't know what you mean.
Poddle - see my reply to Tut-tut above, and also you could click here if you like. His boss in 1973 (Gene, in the Camberwick Green vid) is so like Regan from the Sweeney. Very funny.
ex-Shammi - sadly, I fear you may be right. Tho apparently the USA version of The Office was very good.
With all that lovely grass, why would you choose to lie on the small strip of pavement?
I have come to your blog via a friend.
Absolutely love "Life on Mars" and the clip you show was just the best yet!
May I say I feel for you and what you're going through with your Mum, having been there I know exactly what it's like.
I'll call again if that's OK?
I'm ashamed to say I haven't seen Life on Mars yet. I watch so little tv these days and as I have missed so much of it I feel as if I should wait and start at the beginning, maybe get a dvd box set. What say you?
beats me, Jay. Human perversity, eh?
hello akelamalu. Yes please, come again.
Definately Donna, Do It.
