This post is especially for RW and Tat who well know the Thames cycle path where I took these pictures (wish we could go for a ride along there today...) and also for Pod, who likes trolleys.
Gorgeous! Like an archeological dig from the future. Wish I could take a ride by the river with you, too, or that you could be transported here to ride next to the Potomac River, one of my favorite summertime activities. Thank you for the images!
What a diverse set of comments and reactions! how interrrresttttingggg .....
Thats just what I thought Wendz, like an elephant graveyard. but without the elephants.... and with trolleys ....
Sorry I didn't mean to cause any depression or sadness, apologies esp. to Jay and Toby. (:o) ) oh and to Clarissa for the disgust.
But also gorgeous and beautiful - well, yes, i somehow thought so too (I'd like that too Reya...) (thanks GOW) I don't know pg - I know what you mean, it is pretty awful in some ways. But I kind of like it too..
off his trolley, haha Tat. Well, maybe a bit of a ninny....
As for you, RW - take care of the PENNIES!!! (MSN heehee face)
Yes, shammi, we insist. Its such a good word, dontcha think?
Cream - LOL. Trust you to recognise the type of trolley.
Molly - how lovely to have you visit, miss you. Happy happy. Yes, I think its something about the juxtaposition which i found fascinating.
lol .. loved the title and the pictures that came with it .. clever !! and man oh man @ carts .. remember always wash ur hands once you come back home from grocery shopping, they contain the most germs.
2 and 4 are great. i have looked a few times and thought about fossils and finding these in the future, today i noticed your title. these would look brilliant mounted on the wall as they are, if you could somehow cast them. know wha' i mean? thanks letty!
Trolleyology, ha! great ex-shammickite. Glad you like them Pod, i thought you might. I know what you mean about casting these, would be great. No idea how one would. Nabeel.... thanks. I think.... but... eewwwwwww.
Anyone who's bothered to look back here - check out Toby's (above, natural attrill) stunning jewellery.
Hello Lettuce, I am Toby's Mum, I came home from a night out last week to see your trolley pics and Toby's post, it did make me laugh, he does have a thing about trolleys and things on wheels. Thanks for visiting our blog, do come again! Penny.
I'm mainly posting photographs without words at the moment. Theme Thursday helps to keep me blogging and I hope to return to Sepia Saturday before too long.
I enjoy reading your comments and apologise if I don't find the time to reciprocate.
Details of my other habits are on a strictly need-t0-know basis.

Good grief! That's a trolley cemetary.
Don't you mean for Pod who's off his trolley teehee... yes I remember the bike rides, I fell off somewhere along there :-)

My word, that's where all the trolleys have gone then? I wonder if they still have their pound in them?
What on earth compels people to put trolleys in the river? PErhaps it's an art installation....now there's a thought.
ps: You have slippage in the sidebar department!
Wow. That's disgusting and beautiful at the same time.
ptb to the sidebar slippage. Should be ok now. Any other visitors - please tell me if my sidebar isn't where it should be. Ta.
Well.
That's pretty bleak and depressing for a Friday morning.
:)
Hi,
the poor trolleys look so, well, dead! ( i am sad abut that as i LOVE wheely things! )
Toby
That mud 'Asda be good for trolleys to roll in it!
No wonder I can't find a shopping cart when I need one (OK you Brits, it's a trolley if you insist).
Wow, a trolley graveyard. Amazing photos, Lettuce.
~(:o})=
No offence to any trolley lovers out there, but this makes me very thankful I don't live in a city...
I quite like the avant-garde nature of metal against mud. The natural and the urban.
:)

I think you've just discovered the science of trolleyology.... where trolleys go to die, the trolley graveyard...
