Penicillin

Look what I found lurking in the bread bin, when I returned from my weekend away.

I wasn't expecting it - honest I wasn't.

despite having made similar discoveries on my return from France in August, and on many of my more recent homecomings. Some of it has been not only grey and white and furry, but also pink and orange.

I wasn't looking or checking, really I wasn't.

I was just looking for some bread.

I'd fancied toast.

Blimus Lettuce - don't your family eat bread?

Yuck!

Maybe it's a hint of some kind? Like they want you to stop off and buy some bread on the way home next time!

Or champagne!?

I think it's pretty in an artistic kind of way. I make similar discoveries all the time, including in my coffee maker after I've been away for a while.

Finding it in your fridge in those little plastic coffins that you put your leftovers in makes it very easy to clean up!

Yes, it is rather a pretty colour, isn't it?

hahaha - those little plastic coffins of leftovers in the fridge are a bit of a family joke round our way!

I had made WHITE bread specially (as I was going away) because there are THOSE who PREFER white bread.

They probably ate out and ordered pizza all weekend.

Tch|!!!

Oh no Lettie, you have SPAM!

How can bread go THAT off in such a short amount of time? It's the lack of preservative innit?

The spam will go nicely with that bread.

Oooh look at that bread. We could use that in our Science dept.

I've just read the last post as well. I loved the metaphor of the garden. It was so beautiful. I hope things are going well for you Letty. You seemed so happy when I last saw you. I really hope that it carries on being a beautiful gardenxxx Sorry I couldn't make the blogmeet. I am snowed under with work at the mo. Soon, though!
