Telephone

Well none of these is the photo I was looking for. But these I found whilst looking. And they are much better pictures than the one I was searching for.

Such is life.

  1. Great images...all! Especially liked "Family." Reminded me of a month ago when I was sittin in DIA, Denver International Airport, waiting to fly to San Francisco. There was a couple sitting across from me. She was tweaking on a Blackberry. Her hubby had one Blackberry in each hand and was, ambidexterously, tweaking. A virtual Blackberry Menage a Trois.

  2. I love those old telephone boxes.
In Islington upper Street they used to paint them hot pink! looked very strange but good too. Broke through the city, softened it.

  11. Great pics. I couldn't tell you where a public phone might be in my neck of the woods! And London / England must never get rid of the red boxes even if they don't have phones in them! Where else can Superman get changed?

  17. The picture of your (adorable) family is how telephone works these days. I don't think phone booths even exist in DC any longer! Many people no longer have land lines either. Everything is MOBILE now!

  21. Yes, love those London ones and to think the loony leftward GLC had to give up their plan of scrapping them all for NY style yellow plastic bubbles. Ugh. then at vast expense they put the old booths back in after rebuilding them. that was in the 80's.

  24. The family pic is beautiful!

And the other pics - wow - there are still public telephones? I never see any here in DC except at Union Station. Love seeing people chatting on public phones. It's a blast from the past!
