bitter and twisted...

... in the kitchen.

Its the beer which is Bitter and Twisted, not me.
I remember it as a rather nice pint, not bitter at all, quite hoppy.

I feel rather distant from the kitchen at the moment, in terms of creativity and food preparation. I cooked a meal on Friday but M has been responsible for meals since then, apart from the odd meal out and/or take-away.

We have Australian friends visiting this week and there has been quite a bit of washing up, dishwasher loading and unloading, eating, talking...

...and beer drinking.

thanks Kimy for the Thursday Theme

What a great way to do the washing up! I hope your Aussies are doing their share too( washing p that is!)

I miss UK bitter. Oh, there are quite a few varieties imported now, but even so it's usually too cold! They do like all their beer very cold over here!

I have a beer belly but no beer.

Is it bitter and twisted and luke-warm? My recollection is that Brits don't like it served cold.

CGP, I can't remember where I bought it! must go check Sainsburys...

oh eddy. milk 'n chicken belly?

Barbara, i'm always more than happy to explain this one! luke-warm? NO!!!! but not icy cold either. Ideally it would be nicely cool from a beer cellar, waiting to be pumped by hand... If its too cold lots of the flavour is lost

Just about ready for a pint, myself.

Much happy talking to you and your visitors, lettuce.

Sounds like a good time with the Australians, who I hear are beer drinkers themselves - true?

I need a little of that "eating, talking and drinking beer" kind of evening.
