But this one had me stumped for a while.
Until the magic hour occurred to me - the hour before dusk when the light is transforming, enchanting and golden - or sometimes silver - and the shadows are long.... Along with the hour after dawn - often the best times for photography.
So - here are some photos taken late in the day - late sunshine and shadows:

The cemetery shot, of course, is perfect as all the inhabitants are late...

ReplyDeleteBeautfiul perspectives. My favorite time to take pictures. The red ball on the beach is quite ominous and brings to mind the smotherballs of "The Prisoner". The Regents Canal photo is exceptional, the glimmering of the solid buildings.

Lovely Lettuce I especially like the canal shot. I took half a dozen shots over the wing of the plane coming home yesterday watching the sky turn, it was lovely. Sorry, I'm late getting around these days.

ReplyDeleteAll of the photos are wonderful but the top photo literally took my breath away. I do not know why exactly but have been trying to figure it out. Maybe it is the longing to be somewhere peaceful like that or an internal reaction to the cold I feel depicted in it (was it cold?) or something else? Hmmmm....
