Despair... and stuff.... (NOT)

Devoid of Love

the night falls with a silent sigh, cold and alone are we.
the emotion for which you sacrifice yourself
flares once, then dies,
crushed by the all-encompassing dark.
all hope must sicken and die.

your heart desires no more.
how could you fail to believe?
shadows surround us, crying,
we have lost our way.

Are you laughing?

or crying?

or wincing?

did i get ya?

  1. On the previous ladder pic, this indicates to me you are about to climb to higher levels. You are in between at the moment but are going to soar past the rooftops.

But not so sure about the gothic poem Letty, a bit too dark for me. I think we need lighting up, how about a joyous one?

    Love Is all Around

the night fall lit by the shining stars
    sparkling and together
embrace in the love which envelops you
    repeats itself over and over
    dissolved by the bright light
to the warmth of the sun

    Your heart desires more
    you welcome the exchange
    shadows around us laughing
    we have found our way

As for the shoes laces I am typical shoe shop assistant, or was until I saw this. Now I think I am going for zipper lacing - wheres my trainers...

    Pulled Apart

the night falls with a silent sigh, cold and alone are we.
the salvation for which you lust
    flares once, then dies,
    crushed by your obsession.
    all hope must surely perish.

    your heart beats no more.
how could you cause such hurt?
    shadows surround us, crying,
    we are fallen.

  8. Dizzy - thats so lovely. You're such a positive person! much to sunny to be a goth....

Steve & Donna - sorry! didn't mean to seriously alarm. I'm somewhat limp on the inside, but managing...

    Oh Tat. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Reya - yeah. I found this funny, but in a dark sort of way really.

Mr. Farty. LOL. I'll be spending the weekend with my button collection. Which is not at ALL the same kind of thing.

  9. Donna - scroll down right to the bottom and click on the link saying Yes, I'm dark and tormented I want to create my own Gothic poem. You can then write your own, on a theme such as "Eternal love of vampires", "Feeling Very Sorry for Yourself", "The Black Abyss of Righteous Hatred"....

  10. oh dear..... You've been spending too much time with your Goth daughter ....which is a good thing...I think.... Isn't the mother s'posed to influence the daughter rather than the other way round? Is DG playing with her button collection and spinning her own yarn yet? I hope so.

  11. Hi, there!
To be honest, I am after the bitter choc/cardamom truffle cake you mentioned on cream's blog. Is it still being served here? ;-)

Lusting after cardamon and chocolate in Vienna,
    Merisi
(I do grind my own cardamon, with pestle and mortar, this is as close to gothic as I get, sorry)

  12. i will have to ponder a darkly gothic poem later - right now, i have to pull out my running shoes and decide what technique to use to relace them - as i have come to realize that i can make a fashion statement with my shoe lacings - and besides ... i am avoding paper grading - a new procrastination technique - THANK YOU!!!!!!

  14. well luce, she does think buttons and spinning are cool.... thats probably the most I can hope for now.

Hi Merisi - none of that left, it never hangs around for long! were you hoping for the recipe? let me know if so..... mmmmm, now you've reminded me, I'm going to HAVE to make it again soon....

Bird - post a photo of your newly laced feet! always glad to help put off the evils of grading papers.

Ex-Shammickite - you and me too! who would have thought it?
