sepia me

I'm being a bit of a bad blogger, enjoying your comments but not finding time to visit and comment myself.
Bit of a bad busy blogger, please forgive me.

Birthday busyness this weekend, mine and my lovely niece, so this is my sepia me - baby Lettuce in olden days.

I think I remember this pram, though its hard to know if its memory or imagination.

I think this - below - is the earliest photo of me. My brother, sister and I were all born within 4 years. My poor mother! I wasn't planned....

And my earliest birthday memory is coming home from school, everything ready for my party - with little friends waiting downstairs - and me, crying and refusing to come down from my room until my sister came home from school.

Here I am with my big sis:

Wishing you all a great weekend.
There are more Sepia Saturday posts you can find here.

Happy birthday! When we look back at our childhood photographs, it's almost impossible to believe those little-ones are us, isn't it?

Love the image of you with big sister.

I so enjoyed seeing Little Lettuce!

And by the way, I loved your "pets" and "mystery" posts--and I've been a very bad blogger lately too...

I especially love the last photo and the way you are holding your foot!

Happy Birthday to you;
Happy Birthday to you;
Happy Birthday dear, Lettuce (Sally)
Happy Birthday to—yooooou!

I love the photo of you on the beach, holding your sister's hand. How sweet!

Funny how we muddle up memory with imagination (often confused with photographic images, I find).

Sweet, sweet pics. Is it your birthday? Happy Day to you!

I remember seeing the famous picture of the baby Lady Diana Spencer in a big pram, just like yours!

I wish I had had a pram like yours to add to my pram collection in my Sepia Saturday today. You sure were a cutie!

Now that's a pram of substance! No wonder your photos show you smiling so delightedly (except on your Birthday).

Well hippo birdie two shoes!
We must be the same age, I have a very similar photo also pandering to the photographer's desire to hand me a ball! What's with that? Have a great weekend.

Happy Birthday to you and your niece. May you both have all of your birthday wishes come true.

When I see the Little Lettuce picture I just get a big smile on my face because she is so cute. Those are cool pictures of you and your family. Love the pram, and you and your sister holding hands. Thank you for sharing these pics of you.

God bless.

Happy birthday Lettuce. The nice thing about blogging is that you never need to apologise : your visitors come here because they like what they read not as part of a comment trade-off. And that was a wonderful pram - dating back to the days when men were men, prams were prams, and the summers were always long and hot.

what terrific pictures!

if i had seen these photos without identification, i'd be able to say they were of you right off...amazing how much you still look like that sweet, sweet little lettuce!

bad blogger....that would be me the last couple months!! i've so missed playing sepia saturday and been so busy I haven't even been reading everyone's posts which i so enjoy. now that spring (and soon summer) is here, I have a feeling i'll continue this downward spiral!

any trips to this side of the pond for you in 2010???? turns out our big trip for 2010 was to the pnw so england is now a good possibility for 2011

Life was much simpler then, wasn't it? Hand in hand on the beach, happy days. I have pics of me with my cardigan tucked into my knickers, just like your big sister.

What does one call a baby lettuce? A leaflet? A headlet?

(Very cute!)
