frivolity

Frivolous post as promised in the context of the penultimate and complaining post.

What better encouragement in frivolity than a kitten?

Anything can be a toy :

from bits of used sellotape to feet to dustbunnies
from purloined socks to rubber bands, plants to stairs
from a seemingly innocent and motionless but obviously suspect pencil to chunks of old plaster.

I'm not sure where he finds the latter, I suppose I should be worried about the state of the walls or ceilings somewhere in the house...

Sleeping is serious of course.

Sleeping and eating are most serious.

But everything else is fun and interesting.

Ah, cats, I love it when they cross their little paws like that.

PS: who WAS that chasing that cat with the video cam?

The cat scoping the loo is just a perfect cat pic.

My Black Cat, Phoebe, is grown and still sleeps like she did as a kitten!

My grown Tux Cat is also enamored of the flushing cammode--something fascinating about the swirling, no doubt. Cute pics and Logan is a sweet-faced boy!

My dog Jake's biggest joy is to drink out of the toilet and to raid the trash can. Cheap thrills for our animals!

Our Desmond was hunting ping pong balls this morning.

sweet, sweet, sweet......

been a long time since we had a cat interested in the toilet....that goodness as I never remember to close the lid at em's house (dixie loves drinking from the toilet and it's forbidden) so I'm always in trouble!

oh that move in the vid is sooooo familiar!

Our cat Zippy usta play with a rubber ball about the size of a golf ball. Still can't find it; and there are not many places in our tiny house for things to be hidden???

Lovely shots...I think I should live life as your kitty does.

How divine to have a black shiny kitty resident in the house.
No cats in my house at the moment, although there have been quite a procession of them over the years. But never a black one.
Did you know that black cats are considered unlucky on this side of the Atlantic?

There is nothing quite like a curious kitten! Loved the skittery vid. Very funny!

I had a cat that learned how to use the toilet, so beware! We thought the walls in our apartment were so thin we could hear the people next door tinkling into their toilet. Turned out it was the cat. He never did learn how to flush tho ...

Of course, I love this post. I love the first pic. Cats seem to prefer non-toys to things that are made to be "cat toys." They'd rather have a paper bag or a box.

It's funny how some cats are into flushing toilets and some aren't. My cat never showed the slightest interest.

The vid is TOO cute! (In a good way.)

I do not want another kitten

Perfect reminder of fun as I am stressing out at the moment. Maybe I should go play with purloined socks or rubber bands.
