stuck

This is somewhat how I've been feeling for the last week or so.

Though I suppose its better than feeling like this:

The mud was constituted of various elements, not least of which was a particularly large pile of long essays to mark.

The following pictures might be taken to represent some of these essays.

There were, however, some which are more like this:

So thats not so bad, is it?

And even better, they are now all done.

all pictures taken along the south bank of the Thames, between the Thames barrier and Bermondsey

I am sorry you feel stuck, Lettuce. Your shots were great, despite stuckness...Come visit again when you have time. I may not have the bit of inspiration you're seeking, but reading's picking up and someone else may.

Haaa! I liked the photographic interpretations of the essays! Like you said, not so bad, is it? no, and glad too that they are done! do the essays ever make you laugh? laugh so hard you fall off your chair?

The first two - that's the economy, right? Yikes. That ladder shot is pretty wonderful, as well. O hopeful young ladder.

Re: essay reading, we have a joke in these parts:

"Why are you hitting yourself with that hammer?"

"Because it feels so good when I stop."

It's so weird, I've been surfing through the blogosphere this afternoon, so many people are feeling stuck - someone said it was a January thing and felt like paddling through thick custard - yep, definitely! You are not alone!

Stuckness never continues for long... you either get yourself out of the mire by wiggling vigorously, or you get rescued by a good samaritan on the path through life.... how's that for a deep philosophical thought?
The Thames obviously reveals many secrets at low tide.

Sounds like the winter drearys to me, same here.

But we must always wear the sound of the warrior and mush on through.

I'm having a deja vu especially about the first two pics. Have we seen them before? Or maybe it was Pod who posted something like that.

My dear you are not stuck, you're exhausted! Cut yourself some slack, as we Americans would say, kick back, relax.

Love to you!

Hey, I missed this post. Not all the pix are loading. I'm off for an overnight. I hope the past five days have served to send you upright again.

Great photos...they illustrate how you must have felt perfectly.

glad you all like the photos... Reya, I might have posted one or two of these before, can't remember. Or similar - there are plenty of shopping trolleys in the Thames.

I am managing to mush on through. Ceasing with the hammer-hitting really does feel so good!

Avid Reader, some of them did make me laugh pretty hard but mostly because of their preposterous and outrageous awfulness. So, laughter close to tears sometimes.
