disruptions

back at home
back to work

6 am is too early, no matter what time I get to bed

battling against a persistent cold
beleaguered by large piles of student essays to be marked

my computer is limping on
though also very reluctant to wake at 6 am
or at any time for that matter

I hope to resume normal blogging (whatever that might be) in due course

Unless it's in the middle of summer, 6am is totally ungodly.
Looking forward to the resumption of normal service! ;-)

i've just re-read this post and think it sounds rather miserable.

sorry! it wasn't meant to be!

more a "well, here we go again" than anything, and I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to blog more entertainingly

............

so, just thought that worth mentioning...

I bet squirrel loves this pic even more than i do - since she loves those orange caution cones so much.

the sight of one on the toilet is daunting!

I refuse to believe your students are THAT bad, Lettuce.

Hope the day got cheerier for you.

In complete agreement with Absolute Vanilla here.

Welcome back! I hope you had a lovely time and took lots of photos! By the way, did you get something in the mail from me?

Sometimes it's so hard to get back in the ratrace when you've had a chance to slow down a bit. I hope you can find small things to make a difference in what can otherwise become a rather boring routine.

Have at it, is all I can suggest! I'm in the vortex at the moment. good luck with that vacuum-ish thing at right.

I can so relate! I've always wanted to be a morning person...but alas anything before 8 is impossible for me!

Glad to see you back. I am with you all the way on the getting up early (5:15am for me) and grading papers. A break never does seem long enough but ease back into it slowly if you can.

hello everyone
thanks for commenting!

by 6.30 after a cuppa (or two) i'm usually feeling a lot better...
(i think i'm not generally too bad at mornings)
but it def. easier in the summer.

Reya, squirrel is becoming quite the cone-head. lets hope an intervention doesn't become necessary... [there is (of course) a flickr group]

(cold is getting better, ty)

i think a chair abandoned at random is so sad and beautiful in its own way.
