between

in between LG's departure for school and my departure for work

in between term time and holiday time - strange limbo-like lack of routine in exam time, working mainly at home, but lots of work to be done in not very much time

in between USA travel posts

in between gardening (fine weather is too good to be spent indoors) and spring cleaning. Spring cleaning between gardening and exam marking. Yeah, i know. Its been a late spring. Only half-way around the lounge so far....

in between cameras. No sign of old camera, new camera ordered eta this week. In the meantime, I still love my old old compact camera

in between hope and despair re "life". Balancing reasonably well most of the time

in between USA-blogger-visits (thats the hope talking)

in between The Summerhouse Trilogy by Alice Thomas Ellis and Beloved by Toni Morrison - previous and final book group reads but the next book group is Heartburn by Nora Ephron. Which I'm looking forward to.

in between first and second which i'm off to get now.

Betwixt and between - except really you're just where you are, graceful, gorgeous, smart and so clever. Beautiful post.

Loved the NYC post too! Happy 2nd cup of tea. I'm off to get my own second cup just now.

love to you..

great photo, too, for this post. There was a movie made of The Summer House, with Jeanne Moreau . . .

You have so many great little posting tricks. How do you get images to appear in the middle of a line of text like that? Pretty great!

And I LOVE LOVE LOVE that photo. All those criscrossing lines. Gorgeous!

Between is kind of a nice place to be, actually. Neither here nor there, and thus free of the fixations and obligations of either place or state of being!

very cool shadow pic! wow! deep, dark shadows. which direction to go? in-between is not a bad place to be; not at all.

balancing between hope and despair is always a challenge to me too. sometimes I feel at the mercy of a very large rollercoaster - in the dark, so I can't see what's coming next.

I really look forward to seeing you again in September.

Hugs.

it does seem to this mouse that I'm always "in between" and in being in between I'm always in the midst of it all!

great photo!

wah, wah that there has been no sign of the old camera- it got me thinking about if I lost my camera and the thing I'd despair over the most would be the images on the card - which makes me think perhaps I should make a label to attach to my camera that says something like "if you find this camera, but are not honest enough to turn it in, please at least mail the memory card to: blah, blah, blah...'no questions asked'"

reya stop it, you're embarrassing me. Love to you too. And a nice cup of tea.

TT, someone at the book group was talking abut the film - i'd like to see it, did you?

Steve, tis easy - just upload pictures to blogger with the layout set as "none" and you can drag the pictures where you like. Esp. easy with a Mac of course, as you can just drag graphics from your browser onto desktop and upload from there.....
And - i thought of you when i took this photo, you and reya. :O)

ta, squirrel. is that suit you're wearing stripey too?

and ta lamalu. And lynne - well, you and steve being positive about in-betweenness. hmmm, i need to think about that

wordwitch i do know what you mean. And - September! yay!

kimy i had the same thought about my camera and memory cards, i think i might do that with my new camera. :o/

thanks vanilla - i spose we couldn't have one without the other.

Dennis likes the little bike almost hidden in the stripes.

Sometimes it's good just to pause in the 'in-between-ness.' No rarefied air & breathtaking views from the peaks, 'tis true. But no oppressive darkness in the valleys either. Just little pieces of space. In between.

Superb photo. x

I love the 'betweeness' of life. We are always in between something aren't we? But the beauty of life is when we are in the thick of it, working things out, not sure of what will happen next, on the go or at rest, in pain or experiencing pleasure - we are alive. I have always been thrilled to just be. And it seems that you are as well.

Cherish it all! What a gift.

I agree with Gary.

In betweens... we should have a class in that.

In-betweenness never really stops. There's always something behind us and something else in front of us, and if there isn't, well, that's the time to start worrying.

Do you think Dennis can ride a bike?

Happy Birthday!

I owe you lunch... :O)

Steve asked "How do you get images to appear in the middle of a line of text like that? " I'd like to know too... it's a neat trick. But then, you're a neat person....
