Walls...

... the beauty of...

Taken some weeks ago, before our false start into Spring - which has vanished again for the time being, replaced by bitter winds, flurries of sleety snow and a crackling fire in the lounge.

It could be an avalanche down a mountainside.

It could be a cresting ocean wave full of seaweed.

It could be a very small bit of snow on an old piece of brick or stone.

Based on your title, I'm guessing the latter...but I'm open to other possibilities!

Great photo. I tried the big photo thing but my columns must be too big as it didn't work out.

Spring had better come back soon :-(

Thanks for your sweet comment, Lettuce.
My hope was that you were the one with the recipe (for the cardamom chocolate cake). Do you? *hoperising*
The author of the "Disappearing" poem, Naomi Shihab Nye, has written many other wonderful poems, a couple are out there somewhere on the web.

Not fair for spring to tease us like that, is it?

Beautiful photo; I've never seen one like it. Is that a bit of graffitti there?

The crackling fire sounds very nice.

This is a beautiful photo - could be a satellite pic taken from space. This earth is so incredibly beautiful. Even the things we humans create are (or can be) so beautiful.

Happy equinox!

All the warm beautiful colours covered by the cold snow.

I hope the spring comes back very soon, I am freezing.

brilliant idea to light a crackling fire. I think I'll start one on the living room floor right now!
