Full marks

I'm drowning, I'm drowning, I'm drowning, I'm drowning

swamped in a morass of dross.....

Actually, some of its rather good.

Some not so much.

I marked an exam answer today which finished like this: "I apologise for the brevity and quality of my work. I have no excuse other than my own incompetence and laziness."

S/he is not wrong.
S/he gets no extra points for self-knowledge and honesty.

Having no time to blog properly just at the moment, I thought I'd bring you this.

Piles are terrible things.

They will go down quicker if you drink plenty of fluids (ie g&ts)- or at least you won't notice that they are still there.

Actually I'm sure marking piles of essays whilst under the influence is fine. Most of the stuff will have been written whilst the author was pissed. You just have to make sure that if you have a policy of double-marking that your marking ally is drunk to the same degree.

I hope you get a break from all of that marking. That looks like my table from last weekend. What a nightmare it is. It never seems to end. Boo hoo.

I hope you have a great half-term.

Ant & Dec - haha! what a great excuse to get another one!

And I don't feel the need to apologise for the follies of my youth.

The plagarism thing really burns my bottom. Why? Why? Ed (husband) has been known to obsessively google phrases from papers he's marking to find the source of their plagarism. It's icky. And uses up a teacher's time and energy.

Lettuce, don't you think you should've finished YOUR post with the same excuse or would that have amounted to a severe case of plagiarism...:o)

Molly Bloom said...

Well...I suppose it could be worse...you could have read one that said, 'I woke up and realised that it was all a dream.'
