Boxing pigs

No time to write a "proper" blog, being swamped in marking and other less interesting pursuits.

Trying to make sense of the likes of this: "The concentration on a woman seems to be more apparent as a woman’s gender has more to offer in a reality perspective of understanding what one is supposed to do and not to do." So there.

This is the substitute birthday gift which Mike bought for me today... after the new camera faux pas....

isn't s/he fab?

From a craft/pottery/art shop just off Greenwich Market.

I'll pop in and get details of the artist to add.

Anthony or Antonia? Your vote counts.

So I have this as well as a new camera. What a lucky girl am I!

And here are the boxing pigs:

The box in question is an oat cake box ... not that I think that makes the slightest difference to them ...

Silly pigs! (still silly after all these years)

Those photos crack me up! Those pigs!

Surely your new and extra pressie is an anteater? But it doesn't matter you have possums and slugs too. It's extremely cool. I would see it as a male.

ah oh that' why it's called antonia or anthony - duh! I just get thicker and thicker - it's worrying. (and the pomegranate yesterday has made my keyboard sticky)

Anthony!
He's a boy...
:o)

I've been trawling YouTube and forcing maybe punishing myself by watching vids I would normally avoid because they upset me, when I saw This

It's not my first choice of song that I would have chosen by this brilliant, fantastic, love 'em band but the video is something that you will probably like!
I just had to send it to you! :o)

Plus the song is good, very good and it's cheered me up! :o) Funny they can still do that after all these years!
xx

hmmmm... i'm suppose to be grading papers, but clearly, i'm not.

but when i do, i'm sure i'll find some perplexing sentences to share.

oh, our poor beleagured (sp?) brains. i can't even spell anymore from reading student papers. a travesty, i'm sure.

Ooooh, I used to have the 12" picture disk of that. I loved it. I wonder where it is now. Probably with that brother of mine.

Loved the pigs. So cute.

As for the anteater, I know I'm not an expert, but don't males have bits and bobs attached?

Thanks Trac, great vid. Tho I'm a bit worried by the dillo with all that traffic.

Hello e4c5, I wonder who you are.

Anthony!
Because males are *aard work*....

Definitely Anthony. But I'm biased re that name as you know.

I like the way it looks as though it has fallen over after too many drinks.

Those guinea pigs are so unbelievably sweet.

First of all... Happy birthday! Next, you're one of those people who that makes buying presents for others really easy, huh? If i got my girlfriend boxed pigs for Christmas I'd end up sleeping on the sofa and eating canned beans for the next week. (Well, actually, she might like boxed pigs -- but an armadillo, definitely not!)

Dear God!!! I almost had a heart attack when I looked at the first Guinea Pig pic ... it looked like a giant and I couldn't get my head to understand what I was seeing.

I realised how truly terrifying a giant Guinea Pig would be in the 3 seconds it took me to get my head around the concept that the box wasn't a big carton.

Sorry Wandering Woman, didn't mean to give anyone a shock.
Giant guinea pigs - funny or scary?

Actually, Capybaras are rather like giant guinea pigs....

What unfeasibly cute creatures. I have had guinea pigs - there is nothing, I think, to recommend them, except for their astonishing cuteness which makes up for their sweet stupidity.

Thankyou for your kind comment about my song. It was very sweet of you. I can't get over how large those guinea pigs are. What are you feeding them?

I think the Anthonys have it.
